Via Corda – Choranche
DESCRIPTIONS & INFORMATION
The magnificent Presles cliffs lie at the heart of the Vercors regional nature park, between Grenoble and Valence. It's in these wild surroundings that the Via Corda de Choranche is located! The panorama is guaranteed!
The vire de Choranche is a horizontal fault (also known as "the median vire") in the Presles cliffs. This geological fault is reached by climbing 2 short, easy pitches, then following the route like a roped hike, finishing with a 45m abseil into the void. Between this cliff-side route and the spectacular exit, the atmosphere is just as good!
The via Corda de Choranche is ideal for a group outing, with the family or for works councils. It can also be combined with a canyoning trip in the Vercors, the Ecouges canyon, the Furon canyon or the Versoud canyon, to create a truly sporting day out.
As you can see, the via corda de Choranche is located in the same place as the famous "Grotte de Choranche", which can be visited all year round!
