Furon canyon - LOWER part
DESCRIPTIONS & INFORMATION
The lower part of the Furon canyon is the most accessible by public transport from Grenoble. This lower section is a little shorter than the upper part of the Furon, but still very bucolic!
A short approach walk takes us to the first obstacle, a well-watered abseil to pass under a wedged boulder forming a beautiful natural arch! Then a series of basins before arriving at this superbly beautiful 20m abseil in the shape of a sail, the famous tufa waterfall. This is followed by a succession of syphons (not compulsory) and jumps of up to 8m for those who want them.
As with the upper section, the lower section of the Furon canyon is ideally suited to discovering the activity, with very little commitment required and all the obstacles easily avoided. Another canyoning experience accessible to all, just outside Grenoble and the Vercors!
You can follow on to the upper part of the Furon canyon for a great canyoning day: the complete Furon canyon.
